Solent Rib Charter operate from a central location on the South Coast. As well as renting fifteen berths in Lymington Yacht Haven Marina, SRC own their own boat yard in Lymington with space for thirty boats and a 6,000 square foot office and maintenance unit.

Accredited Suzuki dealer

SRC as an accredited Suzuki dealer are able to service boats and carry out engine changes both at the unit and ‘in the field’ as required. Typically two spare engines are kept in stock at any one time together with a significant inventory of gearboxes, props and other spares.

'Expeditionary' capability

SRC maintain an ‘expeditionary’ capability with seven twenty foot shipping containers fitted out as workshop, office, crew room and general storage to enable deployment anywhere in Europe for major events. A bunded trailer mounted fuel bowser guarantees fuel for the boats and 5VKA Honda generators provide independent power.

Pontoon inventory

Solent Rib Charter operate a division called Floating Pontoon Hire who are a leading UK rental operator for modular pontoon systems. With over one thousand square metres of pontoon owned by the company, FPH are able to build temporary pontoons and harbours on both salt and fresh water.

Vehicles and trailers

Toyota Hiluxes are the workhorse of the vehicle fleet. A long wheel base transit with a HIAB crane provides lifting power for engine changes ‘in the field’. Every Rib has a dedicated four wheel braked trailer maintained and serviced by SRC. Even the 15m flagship ‘Galaxy’ is road transportable without an escort.

Solent Rib Charter Ltd holds ISO 9001 certification recognising that we have a quality management system (audited externally) that conforms to the requirements of the International Standards Organisation. We believe that we are the only Rib Charter operator in the UK certified to this standard.
