Established in 2001, Commercial Rib Charter own and operate a fleet of over 40 vessels and specialise in a wide range of marine tasks including crew transfers, dive support services, guard and safety boat duties, surveying, port patrol, military operations, and other general workboat duties. All our vessels are managed and maintained to a high standard by a team of nearly 30 full time workshop technicians, engineers, project managers and commercial managers.

A number of our Open and Cabin Ribs hold valid ‘Certificates of Compliance’ which permit us to exceed the speed limit through the busy built-up area of Central London. To comply with this we always operate with ‘Local Knowledge Endorsed’ skippers and crew and are subject to regular checks and audits by the PLA.

We have been working on the Thames regularly for over 20 years and in that time have helped out on various projects including Hollywood filming, multi-boat corporate thrill rides, brand launches, the Boat Race, and numerous civil engineering projects. In collaboration with our sister company Floating Pontoon Hire we are able to provide general marine workboats alongside floating modular pontoons, providing safe and easy access to buildings, slipways, docks and bridges.

Located just a couple of hours from the Thames, we can mobilise any of our vessels quickly all year round – sometimes within just 24 hours. All our skippers are commercially endorsed and many hold the offshore industry standard ‘STCW’ seafarer’s training certificate.
