Take your family and friends on a skippered private Rib charter for a special day out on the Solent. Our experienced skippers will help tailor a memorable day for your party. You may already have a plan in mind which we will happily follow, however clients are often keen to tap into the local knowledge of the our skippers who ‘work’ the Solent every day.

Guest profile
A broad range! We have as many clients who know nothing of the water as those who are seasoned sailors. Often a private rib charter booking is to celebrate an event – milestone birthdays and anniversaries seem popular. We have a full range of life jackets for children from toddlers up and good quality breathable oilskins are also available.
Age range
We have hosted a 100th birthday party and carried a baby just three weeks old, so the age range is significant. All age groups are welcome and we are able to configure the day to suit a wide variety of tastes from teenage adrenalin junkies to golden wedding anniversaries!
Alternative to bareboat
Some clients who are initially keen on chartering a bareboat (self drive) opt for a skippered rib charter so that they can make the most of their day without worrying about finding a mooring. With our skipper on board, all liability for loss or damage is carried by the company.

What’s included, who can come along and the qualifications our skippers hold.
The Rib, a professional skipper, fuel, life jackets and breathable oilskins are all included. The office team and your skipper plan the route with you, and the skipper shares local knowledge along the way.
No. The skipper helms, navigates and handles safety, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.
Yes. We carry life jackets for ages 4 and up, and the skipper sets the speed to suit the group. Children under 4 will need a professionally fitted life jacket from the on-site chandlery. Our passengers have ranged from a three-week-old baby to a guest celebrating their 100th birthday.
On a skippered charter our professional skipper drives the boat. On a bareboat charter you drive it yourself, which requires RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent and a strong knowledge of local waters.
Our skippers hold a minimum of a Commercially Endorsed Advanced Power Boat qualification. They work the Solent’s waters and harbours every day of the season.

The Solent may be our home, but we operate throughout the UK, offering reliable nationwide support with consistently excellent service.
