Family RIB boat tour approaching The Needles lighthouse on the Isle of Wight

Why Lymington

Home port

Lymington is our home port and unashamedly our favourite Solent location. We set up our Rib business here because it has so much to offer the Rib enthusiast. There is plenty of free parking in the marina.

At a glance

Jurassic coast

A great departure point for Rib Charter or Bareboat Rib Charter (without a skipper), Lymington is also ideally placed for forays further afield particularly west to Poole and beyond to the world heritage Jurassic coast line.

Town quay

The harbour is the town, and thus a great place to explore by Rib as you journey up the Lymington river through the moorings and past historic boat yards to the Town Quay itself, with a large ‘walk ashore’ visitors’ pontoon.

Yacht Haven

The Ribs are based in Lymington Yacht Haven which has just been awarded the Yacht Harbour Association’s prize as the UK’s best marina, and for good reason. Stunning facilities are augmented by the fabulous Haven bar and bistro – a great venue from which to start and finish your day out.

What our customers say

A line of Solent Rib Charter boats on trailers being prepared for launch, alongside matching tow vehicles on a slipway at low tide.

Our locations

The Solent and beyond

While the Solent is where we specialise, our services extend across the entire UK, enabling us to support clients nationwide with seamless delivery and consistent high-quality service.

Two rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) filled with passengers speed across calm water near The Needles, the iconic white chalk cliffs. The red-and-white Needles lighthouse stands on the right, while sea spray rises around the boats as they travel in bright, clear weather.
