Dartmouth
Dartmouth, on the west bank of the River Dart, is a scenic, sheltered deep-water harbour and historic Devon town, home to the Britannia Royal Naval College since 1905.
Gosport
One of the UK’s most attractive commercial ports, Gosport is known for its striking views of historic ships, Georgian dockyards, the Royal Navy fleet, and the Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower.
Hamble
The Hamble River is a key stop on any sailor’s map, with its easy tidal access and an impressive concentration of marinas, yacht clubs, and moorings accommodating thousands of boats.
Lymington
Lymington is an unspoilt Georgian market town in the heart of the New Forest, close to major Solent landmarks such as Hurst Castle, the Needles, Beaulieu, and Cowes, and directly opposite Yarmouth.
Padstow
Padstow is a well-known Cornish fishing port centred on a sheltered harbour accessed via a lock from the River Camel. It’s a popular holiday spot and an excellent base for RIB trips.
Plymouth
Plymouth’s rich maritime heritage centres on its natural harbour, perfect for RIB exploration with its dockyards, marinas, city access, and dramatic cliffs.
Poole
The UK’s largest natural harbour, Poole is also one of its most beautiful, with wide calm waters, seasonal open-speed areas, and protected landscapes including Brownsea Island.
Portsmouth
Portsmouth, one of the UK’s most attractive commercial ports, is home to the Royal Navy’s surface fleet and renowned for its historic ships, including HMS Victory, and its preserved Georgian dockyards.
Rock
Rock is a small coastal village on the northeast bank of the Camel Estuary, opposite Padstow. It’s the hub of ‘smart’ north Cornwall, known for its vibrant, active community.
Salcombe
Salcombe is a favourite West Country retreat, its picturesque harbour formed by the sheltered Kingsbridge Estuary. It has a lively sailing scene with popular regattas and strong appeal for sea lovers.
Southampton
Southampton Water, the South Coast’s key commercial port, buzzes with major vessels alongside tall ships, yachts, powerboats, and RIBs.
The Solent
The Solent is the sheltered waterway between the Isle of Wight and the south coast, stretching about twenty miles and holding major maritime importance.
Weymouth
Weymouth, a popular coastal destination, is famed as the 2012 Olympic sailing venue. Solent Rib Charter was the official RIB supplier for the Games and the UK Sailing Team.
Yarmouth
On the Island’s northwest coast, Yarmouth marks the mouth of the River Yar and is seen by many as the Solent’s jewel, with its 16th-century castle, long wooden pier, and unspoilt architecture.
