Why Poole

Exposed coast

Although a great Rib area, please be aware that Poole is more restricted by weather than the Solent. If you plan to run from Poole to the Solent, it is worth considering starting your charter in the Solent itself (Lymington is the closest port) as you are much less likely to be adversely affected by wind given the shelter provided by the Island.

At a glance

Jurassic Coast

Rib Charter or Bareboat Rib Charter (without a skipper), is ideal for exploration of the harbour and nearby Jurassic coast, with Studland Bay and Swanage an easy run past Old Harry’s rocks.

Poole Town Quay Marina

There is insufficient demand to base Ribs in Poole permanently, however Poole is an easy run from our home port of Lymington, so positioning boats in Poole when required is cost effective. Typically we operate from the Town Quay Marina, right next to the busy quay.

Bournemouth

For those planning Stag and Hen parties in Bournemouth, please be aware that you cannot board boats on Bournemouth pier so you will need to either head east to Lymington or west to Poole to start your charter.
