Why Yarmouth

Unique

The close proximity of the harbour to the town is unusual and brings a unique atmosphere as is apparent with a large Wightlink car ferry berthed alongside the castle, dominating both the town and harbour! Yarmouth is well served with great restaurants and beyond the town, fantastic walks along the river Yar.

Maritime events

Yarmouth hosts several events which seem to embrace the whole town, none more so than Old Gaffers Festival, held biannually in June, which is now a landmark Isle of Wight event with a significant following. The Royal Solent Yacht Club hosts the annual Taittinger Regatta every July.
