We’ve had a rough start to the year for events but if all goes to plan with the Government’s ‘roadmap out of lockdown’ then we should be on track for a busy summer with plenty going on across the Solent!
Round the Island Race will be the first major event in our diary and is set to take place on Saturday 3rd July. One of the most sensational events to witness in person, starting from the Royal Yacht Squadron line just off Cowes Isle of Wight and is a circumnavigation of the island. With a typical turnout of 1,700 boats it’s an incredible sight as competitors round the Needles, with their spinnakers flying, creating a wash of colour.
